Nueces County Commissioners Court

The Nueces County Commissioners Court meets every two weeks on Wednesday at 9 am.
The Commissioners Court conducts the general business of the county and consists of the County Judge and four Commissioners. ALL Elected – remember that please.
The Court performs the following tasks: (1) Adopts the county’s budget and tax rate, (2) Approves all budgeted purchases of the county, (3) Fills vacancies in elective and appointive offices, (4) Sets all salaries and benefits, (5) Has exclusive authority to authorize contracts and (6) Provides and maintains all county buildings and facilities.
