This is the third No Kings rally — a nationwide series of peaceful protests. Five million people rallied in June 2025, seven million in October 2025, and organizers are aiming for up to 9 million on March 28. Corpus Christi has shown up before. At a previous No Kings Day event in Corpus Christi, early estimates showed approximately 4,000 attendees. Trump’s war on Iran is exacerbating the affordability crisis. As one labor leader put it: “America is at an inflection point. Our communities are hurting. People are afraid, and they can’t afford basic necessities.” Common Dreams Gas prices in Corpus Christi are up 77 cents a gallon since the war started — and Coastal Bend refineries are caught in the squeeze between war-driven price spikes and the water crisis.
💧 Because nobody came to save us during the water crisis
The federal government has been largely absent as Corpus Christi faces one of the worst water crises in its history. When communities are in crisis, Washington’s response matters — and this administration’s priorities have been elsewhere.
🚨 Because ICE raids are happening in South Texas
The March 28 mobilization comes amid outrage over ICE operations across the country, including in Texas, where Governor Abbott deployed the National Guard. KSAT The Coastal Bend has a large immigrant and Latino community that has been directly affected by federal enforcement actions.

At Trump’s direction, Senate Republicans are pushing the SAVE America Act — a voter suppression bill opponents warn would disenfranchise eligible voters who lack proof-of-citizenship documents.
