Political & Social Justice Events
- Indivisible “No Kings” Member Zoom Meeting: Today, March 1, at 3:00 PM, Indivisible Coastal Bend is holding a virtual member meeting to coordinate local advocacy efforts.
- March for Equality: On Sunday, March 8, at 3:00 PM, a march for equality is scheduled as part of the regional progressive calendar.
- Third Thursday Happy Hour: The Island Democrats are hosting their monthly social and organizing event on Thursday, March 19.
- Nueces County Democratic Convention: Scheduled for Saturday, March 21, at the Nueces County Courthouse. This convention is a key step for local delegates following the March 3rd primary.
- Cesar Chavez Marcha: A commemorative march honoring the legacy of Cesar Chavez will take place on Saturday, March 28.
- Port Aransas “No Kings” Protest: Also on Saturday, March 28, from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, the Nueces County Democrats will lead a demonstration at the intersection of Alister St. and Ave. G.
LGBTQIA+ Advocacy
- 2nd Annual TDOV Market and Celebration: The Coastal Bend Pride Center is hosting a celebration for Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) on Sunday, March 29, at 2:00 PM, featuring local vendors and community support.
Environmental & Community Wellness
- Coastal Issues Forum: Student March Madness: Hosted by the Coastal Bend Bays Foundation on Monday, March 2, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Del Mar Center for Economic Development.
- Oso Bay Cleanup: Join the Coastal Bend Bays & Estuaries Program on Saturday, March 21, for a community-led environmental conservation effort.
- Texas Plastic Pollution Symposium: A focused advocacy event on Wednesday, March 25, addressing coastal pollution challenges.
- Parent Cafe: Spring Into Wellness: A community connection event hosted by United Way of the Coastal Bend on Tuesday, March 31, at 6:00 PM.
