Great turnout today at Starbucks on the Island. Our weekly Meetings take place at 10am every Monday. All Dems and like-minded folks are welcome to attend. Thanks to Tom Whitehurst, Ashley Blentlinger and kids, Connor Rice, Jen Gracia, Luis Saucedo, Joseph Ramirez, Lisa Hernandez, Richard Hafemeister, Armon Alex and Mary Alice Wiechman for coming from over the bridge (OTB) to join us!
Island Dems Help With Easter Egg Hunt
The Coastal Bend Tejano Democrats held an Easter Egg Hunt at the Boys and Girls Club on Greenwood last Sunday, April 2nd. And the the Island Democrats were there to lend a hand! Through generous donations from Carol Clair, Dannicee Bobeche, Tina Walker, Ashley Blentlinger, John Vaughn, May Mendoza, Craig Rogers and Victoria Rogers (who is also the Secretary of the CB Tejano Dems), Island Democrats donated more than 1200 candy stuffed eggs. Carol, John and May also came to the Hunt and helped set up and assist with the event. More than 50 youngsters participated and 7 lucky kiddos got a bike and 65 more got special easter baskets. Food and drink were provided, along with a very large Bunny Rabbit. A good time was had by all.
