Ken Paxton’s legal guidance on public access to ballots contradicts advice his office gave out just five days earlier

Great Texas Tribune article. Some counties had received requests from “Stop the Steal” activist groups to allow them to inspect voted ballots from the 2022 Primary. Attorney General Ken Paxton had previously told counties, like Tarrant and Harris, to keep voted ballots confidential until 22 months after an election, only to issue a public opinion 5 days later saying the complete opposite.
